Fire Safe Inner

Have you ever noticed that when purchasing a new goal, that little voice in your head will begin immediately and start giving the reasons why you can not have it you want? If It's finding a new direction to take, to lose those 10 pounds, improving the quality of their relationship or get out of debt, the inner critic that lives inside each of us who really seems to increase the volume.

To shed some light on this universal phenomenon, I could interview my inner critic. I hope that this conversation will shed some light on how you can create a better working partnership with your inner critic.

Carolyn Ellis (EC): It seems that whenever I heard his voice in one form or another. When exactly did you become a part of my life?

Inner Critic: I've been a part of you from the moment that were born. When you were young, you were so brave! Children are well. Tan My initial role was to sort of check so you would not be too reckless and possibly hurting themselves.

EC: Well, that's interesting. As mean that you started out to be concerned for my safety?
Inner Critic: Yes – Absolutely! You may find it hard to believe, but I think my biggest responsibility is to look out for you and keep you safe from harm.

CE: I think I'm old enough to know when I'm in physical danger. Why are you still here, then – just to torment me?

Inner Critic: I'm trying not to torment you – I'm just doing my job the best way I know how. Actually, I've given you a job promotion, so to speak. I have expanded the range of things that I will not comment on any potential danger on the horizon I see. This includes any emotional or perceived social harm as well. I would like offer a full range of services.

EC: What are some of your favorites critical dialogues?

Inner Critic: I find the "who think you are "or" what other people think of you? "or" You can not do, you will fail "to be more effective in my comments. This is the If my fellow critics interior living on other people, though each has its own unique inner critic retort that can stop a person in their tracks. The main objective of my dialogue is to stop assuming that a new action or behavior and pause.

EC: Why do some people seem being paralyzed by internal criticism and others are not?

Inner Critic: Everyone has an inner critic and you can hear. It has been estimated that humans self-talk of 45,000-50,000 thoughts every day. I am proud to say that much of that really is about me! In fact, I'm talking most of the time. The vast majority people do not even stop to question what they tell you so let me stop from what they really want. Those who stay in the action simply choose not to take any what I say as absolute irrefutable truth. They hear what I have to say, weigh it against what would be achieved upon reaching your goal. Just go ahead despite fears or hesitation to help me grow. Oops, should not have let the secret out!

CE: So what you're saying is we all have the option to decide whether we will be able to listen to you or not?

Internal Criticism: Actually, not many options as to whether they'll listen. The key point is if you leave that what I hear that stop you or not.

EC: What are some of the main ways that you and I can live together more peacefully, then? If we're stuck with it, how can I learn not to get diverted by you?

Inner Critic: To tell you the truth, I would have done better relationship with you. Sometimes I feel his anger and how you want to kill me. So you end up screaming even louder. This is tiring, even for me! This is what I would suggest:

1. Just listen to me – trying to forget me not really work. Be aware of what I'm saying really calms me.

2. Know that everyone has an inner critic who speaks negatively than you, so you can choose to not take everything so personally.

3. Consider what I have to say and then make your own decision. Whatever I have to say that only one factor in making a commitment to move towards their goals. I do not like to get blamed all the time why people do not get what you want in your life!

4. If you notice that I do particularly strong or persistent, it could simply be that you're going through miss something important. Pause and take a look to see what it is.

EC: Thank you so much – it's really a relief to know better!

Inner Critic: Same here! Thank you for being curious instead of condemning me.

I appreciate it!
